2 High Points - 1 day - SD/ND - 9.7.16

Two state high points in one day - South Dakota and North Dakota. This is a first for us (2 in 1 day) and turned out to be a great, but long, day!

South Dakota - Harney Peak, 7,242' - 7 mile beautiful hike and our high point #40!

 After our summit hike we hopped in the car and drove 3.5 hours to the North Dakota high point.
This was our view for most of the drive.  Not much out here!  :-)

North Dakota - White Butte, 3,506' - a 2 mile hike out in the middle of nowhere and our high point #41!  We read many warnings about this area being heavily populated with prairie rattlesnakes.  Thankfully we saw NONE!
