The Beautiful Verde Valley

This area has to be one of our absolute favorites.  The views are fantastic, the hiking spectacular and the proximity to so many fabulous places is perfect (Jerome, Cottonwood, Prescott, Flagstaff, Sedona and Phoenix).  Each time we come to this area we stay a little longer.  The first few years was 3 weeks, last year was 5 weeks, this year is 8 weeks and next year will be 3 months!  It feels like our home away from home.

Since the day we hit the road in our RV we've been toting around my cross-country skis in hopes they would meet the snow one day.  That day finally happened.  Flagstaff received almost 2 feet of snow just before our arrival so I high tailed it up there and got in 2 spectacular days of skiing and 20 miles on the trails!  Moxie was able to join me on a trail and loved every minute of rolling and frolicking in the snow.  She's a natural.
Moxie is ready to go!  Pulling me down the trail.

Funny we found this Dune Jeep with interesting modifications.  I don't want to be somewhere if there's that much snow!
My nephews spring break hit when we arrived in the area so they rented a beautiful house in Cottonwood and we got to spend lots of time with them and several of their friends that week.
