We drove the RV 3 hours from NY to CT, parked in a campground, unhooked the Jeep and hit the road to the high point in Rhode Island about an hour away.
Jerimoth Hill - 812 ft. Phew - another tough one! :-)
It was sort of sad to hit this high point as it completes the east coast (which is good but there are no moe to do at this point). Our next high point won't be until the middle of next year when we hit the central states. Since I've never been to RI (that I can recall) we took a trip to Jamestown and Beavertail State Park. It was such a change from the mountain view we had just hours before. We breathed in the salt air, felt the ocean breeze, stopped for a quick dinner and headed back to our RV in CT. Wonderful day!
Today we're on the road to Trenton, ME (near Bar Harbor) and will stay for 2 weeks before heading to my cousin's house near Bangor.
